Networks and Maintenance
Networks and Maintenance builds, operates, inspects and repairs the water and sewer networks, pump stations and reservoirs. Crews respond to mains breaks and sewer blockages, locate and protect utilities, disinfect new and repaired mains, inspect sewers with cameras and manage traffic and excavation safely.
What the team is accountable for
- Respond to water main breaks and sewer blockages within service standards
- Inspect, maintain and repair pump stations, valves, hydrants and meters
- Locate, identify and protect utilities before excavation
- Disinfect and commission new and repaired water mains
- Inspect sewers and stormwater assets with camera equipment

Kirsty leads the network crews and standby roster, joined the business fourteen years ago as a maintenance operator, and owns the permit to work system.
Jordan Reyes
Jordan leads a three-person maintenance crew, has repaired mains and sewers for six years and is the permit holder for most confined space entries.

Network Work Orders
Tracks every reactive and planned job on the water and sewer networks, plants, storages and channels from dispatch to completion.
Permit to Work Register
Records every confined space entry, excavation, hot work and isolation permit with the permit holder, controls, gas readings and close-out.
WHS and Environmental Incident Register
Records injuries, near misses, hazards, chemical releases, sewage spills, water quality incidents and vehicle events with investigation and actions.
